Alabama Homecoming 2012

Welcome,

"The Tradition Rolls On" serves as the theme for the Homecoming 2011 season. We hope to welcome students, parents, alumni and visitors to the University of Alabama's campus during the eventful week of October 2nd though October 8th.

As the reconstruction of buildings occurs around the city of Tuscaloosa, we strive to restore the hearts of residents and loved ones through the unifying time of Homecoming. The annual Roll Tide Run will jumpstart the week of festivities on Sunday October 2nd, followed by Crimson Kickoff, complete with entertainment from flag football to local bands performing on the quad, and benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Throughout the week, students are given the opportunity to serve the community by participating in a LifeSouth Blood Drive.

Homecoming gives students the time to unify through events such as dodge ball, basketball, choreography contests, and local step shows. The annual Pep Rally will take place on the steps of Gorgas Library where the 2011 Homecoming Queen will be announced followed by the traditional Bon Fire. The Million Dollar Band will direct the parade on Saturday morning, and will lead into tailgating on the Quad. The Homecoming game will conclude the week on October 8th against Vanderbilt University. For more information on activities and registration please explore our website.

Roll Tide!
